DESCRIPTION: This bar is perfect for those who appreciate the superfood qualities of chocolate but don’t want any of the sugar, as well as for those chocolate experts that want to experience all the aromas in the cacao undisturbed by any additional ingredients. Heads up, though: this one is a little bitter for those who are not used to such a dark bar. From those supporters of our project who are fond of 100% bars, we normally hear that our bar is mellow, not acidic and even sweet sometimes.TASTING NOTES: Initially, we taste roasted nuts developing into fresh herbs and finishing with a floral profile...

Meet the Founders
Agustina and Alejandro are the origin of Mashpi 10 years ago. Agus is an Ecuadorian and Alejandro is from Costa Rica, they are cacao growers and farm to bar chocolate makers. In “Mashpi Shungo” their 56 hectares farm, (48 of which are within forest conservation) located in the Northwest of Pichincha – Ecuador, they make the most unique, different and great quality chocolate bars!!!!
