Description: Theobroma cupuaçu (pronounced cupuassu) is a cousin to cacao. The fruit is floral, fragrant, and bright - tropical fruit unlike you have ever experienced before. The fruit is cooked with sugar then dehydrated and place on top of organic chocolate. So few ingredients creating an explosion of aromas. These grow in the Amazon Rainforest Biome. Part of our BRAZIL BIOMES PROJECT which highlights ingredients that are: native to Brazil, grow wild, are endangered, promote environmental preservation, encourage community development, are accessible and taste great.

TASTING NOTES: Initially, we taste brownie, developing into strawberry jam and finishing with mango and pineapple notes

Meet the Founders

Arcelia is the founder and master chocolate maker behind Mission Chocolate. Se has worked with chocolate for over 20 years as a chocolatier, chocolate maker, teacher and consultant. She travels across Latin America to work with cacao producers, chocolate makers and to teach indigenous women how to make chocolate.
